Refund & Withdrawal Policy
This Refund & Withdrawal Policy ("Policy") applies to all purchases of premium subscriptions ("Subscription" or "Subscriptions") made through the ScanPal service operated by XPROFIT OÜ ("we", "us", "our").
This Policy explains your rights under European Union consumer law, including the right of withdrawal for digital content and how refunds are handled for subscriptions and trials.
1. Subscription Pricing and Billing
ScanPal offers the following subscription plans (subject to change):

Prices include applicable taxes, where required by law.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before renewal.
2. Free Trial
We may offer a 7-day free trial for certain subscription plans. The Trial provides access to premium features at no cost for the trial duration.
The Trial begins immediately upon activation and ends automatically after 7 days, unless you upgrade to a paid subscription.
You may cancel the trial at any time before it expires to prevent conversion to a paid subscription.
3. Right to Withdraw (EU 14-Day Rule)
Under applicable European Union consumer protection laws, you have the right to withdraw from most distance contracts for digital services within 14 days from the date of purchase without giving any reason.
However, in the case of digital content or services that begin immediately with your explicit consent, the right of withdrawal may be limited.
Specifically, if you choose to activate premium access immediately after purchase — and confirm this choice — the Service begins at once.
Immediate Access Acknowledgment
By selecting immediate access at checkout, you explicitly acknowledge that:
- Your subscription starts immediately
- You may lose your 14-day withdrawal right once the digital service performance begins
- Any refund requests after this point will be processed solely in accordance with the terms below
This acknowledgment is required under EU consumer law and is intended to reflect your informed consent to immediate service commencement.
4. Refund Entitlement
A) Before Service Commencement
If you cancel your paid subscription before using any premium features, you may be eligible for a refund for the unused portion of the service, provided you contact us within 14 days from the date of purchase.
B) After Immediate Service Commencement
If you requested and received immediate premium access, your right to withdraw may be limited. In such cases:
- You may not be entitled to a refund under the EU 14-day withdrawal right once the premium service has begun
- Refunds for digital services already delivered are generally not guaranteed under EU consumer law
- However, we may choose to issue refunds in specific cases at our discretion (e.g., technical errors, duplicate billing, clear service faults)
C) Free Trial
If you cancel during the free trial period, no charges will be incurred. Charges occur only when the free trial ends and a paid subscription begins.
5. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund:
- Contact us at support@scanpal.app with your:
- Email address used for your ScanPal account
- Subscription plan name
- Date of purchase
- Reason for refund request
- We will review your request and respond within a reasonable timeframe (typically within 7 business days).
Refunds, if approved, will be issued to the original payment method.
6. Payment Provider Policies
We use independent payment providers (Stripe and EveryPay) to process payments. Any disputes related to billing may also be addressed through your payment provider in accordance with their terms and refund procedures.
7. Limitations
Refunds are not available for:
- Services already rendered after the commencement of immediate access as acknowledged at checkout
- Partial usage within a billing period unless required by applicable law or at our sole discretion
- Charges resulting from unauthorized access if determined not to be our fault
8. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Refund & Withdrawal Policy from time to time. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
